What to expect from a crown by Dr. Bagai, Chicago Cosmetic Dentist

Generally, a crown procedure will be completed in two visits to your Chicago Cosmetic Dentist.

For your first appointment, several detailed molds will be taken of your tooth to ensure that your crown looks as natural as possible. Your molds will be sent to a dental laboratory where your new custom crown will be custom made to fit your tooth. In the meantime, as your crown is being made, you will wear a temporary crown. Your Chicago dentist will numb your tooth, remove any decay from the tooth, and prepare it for the crown. The temporary crown will be attached and your bite will be inspected for accuracy.

For your second appointment, your Chicago cosmetic dentist will remove the temporary crown, clean your tooth thoroughly, and attach your new custom made crown, ensuring once again that your bite is correct. By maintaining good oral hygiene and regular visits to your Chicago dentist, you will protect your new crown.
